If you're an adult, you might sometimes feel that your child is begging you to buy them a present. You will probably say one of the following things:

    No!
    Wait for the sale.
    Use your own pocket money.
    Oh, okay.
    And on those days when your child wants to stay home, you go shopping and you look for a surprise present that will keep them interested for a while. The key to keeping your child interested is to work out what they like and then get a surprise present for them. That way they will like you more.

    Here is a list of games or toys you can buy, suitable for a child's age:

    For those 0 - 3 year olds:

    Cuddly soft toys
    Mini trucks or trains
    Wooden train set
    For those 3 - 6 year old quiet type:

    Lego
    Duplo
    Small soft toys
    For 6 - 9 year olds:

    Larger soft toys
    Remote control cars
    Complicated building structure sets like Magnetix
    For 9 - 12 year olds:

    Wiis
    Playstations
    Card games (but not the ordinary pack of cards)
    For 13 - 18 year olds:

    Their own laptop
    Moblie phones
    Mp3 players etc.
